Program overview

Admission requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 (or 16–17 with parental consent and state-specific approval).

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray, and current immunizations as required by clinical sites.

  • Criminal background check and drug screening may be required prior to clinical placement.

Program length and schedule

  • Typical duration: 4–12 weeks, depending on full- or part-time options.

  • Class schedules vary: daytime, evening, and weekend cohorts may be available to accommodate working students.

  • Clinical rotations scheduled during program to meet state-mandated hours.

Tuition and fees

  • Tuition and fees vary by cohort and location. Estimated costs include registration, tuition, textbooks, uniform and supply fees, state exam and certification fee.

  • Financial aid, payment plans, and employer-sponsored options may be available for qualified applicants.

Certification and outcomes

  • Program prepares students to sit for the state CNA competency exam (written and skills portions).

  • Upon successful completion and state certification, graduates are eligible for employment as Certified Nursing Assistants.

  • Employment assistance and job placement support may be offered.
